Waveland Golf Course is certainly one of Iowa’s most unique 18-hole courses—known for its parkland-style build, clubhouse in a vintage 1940’s red brick building and refreshingly close proximity to the heart of Des Moines. Golfers at Waveland are in good company as more than 40,000 rounds are played there annually. The course also boasts plenty of tree-lined fairways, so it’s the prime spot to really sharpen your putt.
Rates: $27 for 18 holes or $20 for nine holes, Monday to Friday. Rates start at $20 on weekends and holidays, depending on time. Discounts are available for seniors and active military.
