January 13 @ 10:00 am - January 15 @ 10:00 pm
If you’ve been waiting all year for the Icestravaganza to make its anticipated return to downtown Davenport, then you’re in for a treat. On the weekend of January 13–15, LeClaire Park will once again become home to the beautiful ice sculptures that you know and love.
This fun, safe and family-friendly outdoor winter event is free for anyone to view as they take a winter stroll through the downtown area. This year, more than 36,000 pounds’ worth of intricately carved ice will be on display all three days at the Freight House. Plus, there will be a drive-through display on Beiderbecke Drive in LeClaire Park for those who’d rather enjoy the icy art from the comfort of their car.
The stunning sculptures will be lit up each night from dusk to 10 p.m. for an even more exciting experience. There will be a live Metronet ice carving demonstration in-person and on Facebook from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1-2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 14. The Family Credit Union warming station with free hot chocolate and a fire pit is at the Freight House’s outdoor patio during the ice carving competition and from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
This event is free to attend.
