Winterfest

Embracing the winter season and enjoying indoor and outdoor activities at Winterfest is the perfect way to leave the house and cure your winter blues. Visit Amana Colonies on Saturday, Jan. 21, for an all-day event that honors the winter wonderland that is Iowa. 

First, guests can anticipate the Winterfest games at the market barn, a showcase of live games and entertaining events. There will also be an opportunity to participate in the Amana Freezer 5K run/walk from Amana to East Amana. 

Then, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., one of the main events of Winterfest takes place; the annual Winterfest wine and beer walk. Here, guests will enjoy a delicious 5-course meal with wine pairings at the Ox Yoke Inn’s “Wine and Dine” event. Following the starters and wine, there will be four further dishes, each matched with a different wine, as well as tales about the Amana Colonies.
