Cedar Rapids 4th of July Freedom Festival

The 2023 Freedom Festival 4th of July fireworks display will take place on Tuesday, July 4 in downtown Cedar Rapids.
Come down for the largest fireworks display in Iowa on the 4th of July! Sit back and enjoy music, food and drinks from local vendors and amazing fireworks. The 2nd Avenue Bridge and McGrath Amphitheater will be open for entry beginning at 6 p.m. followed by a choreographed fireworks show presented by J and M Displays. Wear your Freedom Festival button for FREE entry (kids 8 and under do not need a button). The first 500 kids will receive a bag with a kids activity book courtesy of Z102.9 and The Gazette.
No pets, sparklers, firecrackers, or any other type of fireworks will be permitted at this event. Soft sided coolers only, no glass, bag checks will also be completed as you enter the seating area.
