Kick off the new year with hikes into beautiful winter wonderlands this month with guides from Iowa’s Polk County Conservation.
The family-friendly hikes currently feature a venture into Brown’s Woods on Jan. 9 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. and a second hike through Jester Park Nature Center on Jan. 23 from 9 to 10 a.m..
Guests can expect to enjoy a scenic walk on each trail and may even spot some furry friends and their tracks along the way. Each guest is expected to dress warm for the weather and is required to wear a mask.
The hikes are free but require a registration online here.
