Le Claire’s own Antique Archaeology is special for a lot of reasons. Not only is it one of the quaintest spots to visit in the city, but it’s also the home of the world-famous American Pickers. The hit TV series on HISTORY Channel, “American Pickers,” follows the adventures of two professional antiquers as they travel America in search of treasures that tell a greater story of the country’s history, values and stories. Mike Wolfe, the show’s star, auctions his own special finds (and also bids on others) at his Le Claire-based company, Antique Archeology.
