Beyond Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience, produced by Paquin Entertainment Group, is making its way to Davenport’s RiverCenter this summer. The sensory extravaganza is set to open May 20, running through July 20.
During this limited-time event, guests will admire more than 300 of Van Gogh’s iconic masterpieces at Davenport-based RiverCenter. Well-known masterpieces include “The Starry Night,” “Sunflowers” and “Café Terrace at Night,” as well as many revealing self-portraits. Via the immersive experience, Van Gogh’s time-honored art is liberated from its two-dimensional limitations into a three-dimensional experience that exhilarates every sense. The audience will be able to hear the artist’s own dreams, thoughts and words set to a moving, symphonic score.
“This distinctive and unique multimedia artistic adventure is deeply resonating with audiences,” says Justin Paquin, producer, Paquin Entertainment Group, in a press release. “Encompassing a refreshing new twist unlike art lovers have seen before, Beyond Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience gives a new appreciation of this tortured artist’s stunning work. Unsurprisingly, millions of people all over the world credit Van Gogh with enhancing their relationship with art. Beyond Van Gogh will only strengthen that connection.”
In recent years, Van Gogh’s cinematic immersive art experiences have taken place throughout European and North America with great critical acclaim. To date, they have sold more than five million tickets globally.
