Fresko caters to those with dietary restrictions and preferences, offering a variety of vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free items. The cocktails are carefully crafted and unique. A popular choice, the elderflower spritz, arrives in vibrant colored layers and topped with a flower. It combines flavors of elderflower, cucumber, blueberry and lime for a light and sweet refreshment. Non-drinkers, check out the mocktail menu for a fun substitute.

Favorite entree features include the hanger steak and walleye. A perfect meal for all Iowans, the steak is smothered in a slightly sweet and savory sauce, served over kale and smashed red potatoes mixed with chives and goat cheese, then topped with crispy onions. The walleye is another great dish, perfectly seared to be crisp on the outside and light and flakey on the inside. It is topped with greens and snow crab and served alongside roasted red peppers, grilled squash, and pea risotto. All the ingredients complement each other well for a beautiful dish and wonderful flavor profile. Both plates are a healthy serving and are sure to satisfy your appetite.

Make sure to save room for dessert. A seasonal favorite is the s’mores fluff, which is a trifle layered with a rich chocolate mousse, graham cracker crumbs and a fluffy marshmallow topping that was lightly browned. Fresko also offers a variety of seasonal cakes, cheesecake, ice cream and sorbet.
