Booze-A-Palooza

The newest event in Cedar Rapids, Booze-A-Palooza takes place on Saturday, Apr. 15 from 5 to 8 p.m. and is the perfect place to test out a variety of everything from beer and wine to canned cocktails to find your new favorites before summer. Or, if you can’t make the Cedar Rapids date, don’t worry because Booze-A-Palooza will also be making an appearance in Des Moines on Saturday, Apr. 29 from 5 to 8 p.m.

As the name suggests, Booze-A-Palooza is a three-hour celebration that features beer, seltzer, cider, wine and canned drinks galore. Each different alcoholic beverage has its own distinct theme and featured tasting area, which will make guests feel as though they’ve entered a new world with every sample. For starters, an expansive beer garden will be home to over 20 different beers, all with one-of-a-kind flavored hops. From there, the wine cellar will be pouring up over 10 different styles of wine from various regions. In addition, the sprawling “Cantopia” area will showcase all things canned, from fizzy seltzers to tequila-infused tonics. 

General admission tickets are available for $50 and include 3 hours of sampling and a souvenir cup. VIP tickets are available for $70 and also include access to the exclusive champagne garden as well as champagne samples and hor’dourves.
